Access rights

In this dialog, you can configure access rights to files and directories.

Access rights

  • New - Displays dialog for choosing a file or directory, for which a record in the access rights table should be created.
  • Edit - Opens dialog for modifying of access rights for a file or directory in the access rights table.
  • Delete - Deletes selected record from the access rights table

    • Types of access rights

  • Allow - operation is explicitely allowed for given type of file or directory
  • Inherit - operation for given file or directory is inherited from parent directory (if explicit allow cannot be inherited, operation is prohibited.
  • Deny - operation is for given file or directory explicitely forbidden

    • Types of operations

  • Read - right to read a file
  • List - right to list a directory or get file information
  • Write/Create files - right to write to file and create new files
  • Append - right to append new data to file
  • Delete/Remove subdirs - right to delete files or directories
  • Change directory - makes sense only for directories, right to make directory working directory
  • Create subdirs - makes sense only for directories, right to create new subdirectories
  • Recursive rights - makes sense only for directories, files or directories in a subtree can inherit rights from this directory
